Mission and Purpose

Our Mission

From the earth to the consumer it serves, Welch's will harness the power of family-farmer owners, colleagues, and partners to have a positive health and sustainable impact on the people, communities, and food we touch.

Purpose

Welch's supports worthwhile endeavors that enhance the quality of life in those communities where our colleagues live, work and actively volunteer. We assist organizations according to our guiding principles and within budget limits. Support includes cash contributions or product contributions where appropriate. Contributions are restricted to organizations that have been granted 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.

Guiding Principles:

Health and Nutrition — Programs that support healthy living and promote wellness through good nutrition. Examples include programs that promote health through nutrition education and/or exercise, and organizations that feed the hungry or work to alleviate hunger.

Food Sustainability — Programs that promote responsible growing practices and environmental stewardship in areas where our employees and growers live. An example of this would be a program that teaches children and adults to grow their own fruits and vegetables and in an environmentally friendly way.

Product Donations

We consider product donations to non-profit organizations that fall within our guiding principles and are within a 50-mile radius of one of our company locations. We give preference to organizations that our colleagues or grower-owners are associated with. Written or electronic request must be received at least two weeks before the donation is needed, identifying the nature of the organization, planned usage of the product, and arrangements for pickup.
