Warhover Named Director at Welch's

Stephen H. Warhover, president and chief executive officer of Gorton's Seafoods, has been named to the Welch Foods Inc. Board of Directors, effective December 12, 1996.
Warhover has headed Gorton's Seafoods since March, 1986. He started his career with General Mills in 1968 and served 27 years with the company until 1995, when Gorton's was sold to Unilever NV.
The Welch board consists of 10 members: four directors of Welch's parent company, the National Grape Co-operative Association, Inc.; two Welch officers; and four outside directors. Warhover succeeds Leonard M. Wilson, an independent consultant from Sherborn, Mass., who is retiring after serving on the Welch board for 25 years.
