Welch's and Growers Announce Scholarship
FREDONIA, N.Y., March 21, 2005
Eligible students are invited to compete for three $1,000 scholarships to the State University of New York at Fredonia as a result of a scholarship fund created by Welch's and the National Grape Cooperative for its employees and grower-members.
Established through the Fredonia College Foundation, the Welch's-National scholarships have been awarded annually since 1996. Scholarship applications are now available for students who will be attending SUNY Fredonia in the academic year starting Fall 2006. Any child or grandchild of a Welch’s or National Grape employee or member in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Canada is eligible for the Welch’s scholarship.
Applications are due May 10. Interested families should contact the National Grape Cooperative office at 2 S. Portage St. in Westfield, (716) 326-5200.
