Welch's Appoints Chris Heye as VP of Marketing and David Engelkemeyer as VP of Operations & Technology

CONCORD, Mass., April 30, 2007

Welch's, the world's leading marketer of Concord and Niagara grape-based products, today announced two new members to its senior leadership team with the naming of Chris Heye as Vice President of Marketing and David Engelkemeyer as Vice President of Operations & Technology.

As Vice President of Marketing, Heye will be charged with invigorating innovation and delivering business growth, while Vice President of Operations and Technology Engelkemeyer will be responsible for transforming and updating Welch's value chain.

Prior to joining Welch's, Heye was Vice President of Marketing, Americas for BP/Castrol. At BP, Heye led the marketing function for 40 countries, 80 people, and $1.6B in sales. Before BP, Heye held many positions of increasing responsibility at Johnson & Johnson. Heye holds a BA in Marketing Management from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.

Before coming to Welch's, Engelkemeyer was Vice President Worldwide Operations at Banta Corporation (now RR Donnelley), a printing and supply chain management service provider. At Banta, Engelkemeyer held the senior executive leadership responsibility for all of their manufacturing & supply chain operations (approximately 40 locations worldwide) and was responsible for driving enterprise wide World Class Operational Excellence, which led to more than $25M in incremental savings in both 2005 and 2006. Prior to Banta, Engelkemeyer held senior operations leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Zoots, Avery Dennison, and Procter and Gamble. Engelkemeyer holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri.
