Project Engineer II

SCOPE:
The Project Engineer position will be responsible for planning and implementing manufacturing plant facilities projects. Examples of these projects include boiler and refrigeration systems , wastewater systems, juice storage tanks and building upgrades.. He/She will be responsible for project management from design development to commercialization and start-up, developing and managing project schedules, mechanic and operator training and start-up assistance. He/She will work closely with plant and R&D resources as required to accomplish project goals
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and implements of facilities, environmental, and energy saving projects.
- Initiates and develops system designs, bill of materials, engineering specifications, project schedule , operator training and start up assistance for assigned projects.
- Develops specific action plans to accomplish project goals. Includes interfacing with R&D and QA, vendor and plant personnel on project design and plant trails where appropriate.
- Provides designs, analysis, and recommends action plans to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Develops team relationships with Marketing, Plant Operations, R&D/QA, and other functions as required to deliver project objectives.
- Reacts to change productively and handles other related duties as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in an Engineering discipline
- PE License preferred
- 5-7 Years Project Management experience emphasis on facilities, environmental, and energy saving projects.
- Strong skills in analysis, project management, leadership, relationship building, negotiation, influence, teamwork, and communications.
- Familiarity with refrigeration is a plus.
- Experience in food/beverage is preferred but not necessary.
- Position requires 30% travel with vast majority being domestic.
