Heart Healthy Recipes

A heart healthy diet includes a variety of nutritious foods from all the food groups. As you encourage your clients to choose fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy products and lean meats, while limiting their intake of saturated and trans fats, cholesterol and sodium, they should also know that healthy foods can be simply delicious. The following tasty recipes are made using Welch’s products and are also low in fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol.

The heart-healthy recipes below all meet the following criteria (per 100 gram serving size):

  • Total fat 3 grams of fat or less (or 30% or less of total calories)
  • Saturated fat - 1 gram or less (or 15% or less of total calories)
  • Cholesterol - 20 mg or less
  • Sodium - 480 mg or less
