Welch's Grape- Apple Holiday Punch

 Ingredients

1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup sugar
1 can (11.5 ounce) Welch’s Frozen Concentrated 100% White Grape Juice, thawed and undiluted
1 (6 ounce) can frozen apple juice concentrate*, thawed and undiluted
24 ounces cold water
1/3 cup lemon juice (fresh or frozen, thawed)
7 cups (56 ounces) ginger ale*
Ice cubes or ice ring 

Preparation 

1. Stir together the boiling water and sugar until the sugar dissolves to make a syrup. Set aside until cooled to room temperature.

2. In a large pitcher or bowl, combine the white grape juice, apple juice concentrate, cold water and lemon juice.

3. Stir in the cooled sugar syrup. In a non-metal punch bowl, add ice cubes or an ice ring then pour in the grape mixture. Just before serving, pour in the ginger ale.

*Note: This holiday punch can be made as a non-alcoholic drink or it can be made with Champagne or sparkling white wine. For the alcoholic version of this holiday punch, you may substitute 2 bottles of Champagne or sparkling white wine (750 ml each) in place of the apple juice concentrate and ginger ale.

Makes 20 servings approximately 6 ounces each
