Grape Jam Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups prepared pancake flour
  • 5 Tbs. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup Welch’s Grape Jam
  • 1/4 cup milk 1/4 cup shortening, melted
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Preparation

  1. Mix flour and salt. Combine milk, egg, sugar and grape jam; add flour, stirring until just mixed; stir in shortening.
  2. Turn into greased loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven (350ºF), 1 hour.

Makes 1 loaf, 8x4 inches.
