Description of Contest; Sponsor
In February 2013, up to 3 winning registered dietitians will be recognized and rewarded for their work in the area of family nutrition education.
This contest is sponsored by Welch Foods Inc., A Cooperative, with a principal place of business at 300 Baker Avenue, Suite 101, Concord, MA 01742 (“Sponsor”). Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited by law.
How to Nominate
No purchase necessary to enter or win. Nominations must be submitted by completing the nomination form located at welchs.com/rewardRDs. Nominations received by any other method will be rejected. Nominations will be accepted beginning 9:00 a.m. Eastern time on February 1, 2013, and ending 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on February 28, 2013 (the “Entry Period”). Nominations must be in English and must follow the instructions shown on the nomination form.
Eligibility
Nominators: Any person who is 18 or older as of February 1, 2013, and is a U.S. citizen and resident may submit a nomination.
Nominees: Any registered dietitian who, as of February 1, 2013: (a) is a citizen or legal resident of the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia), its Territories, and Possessions, (b) is certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, and (c) holds a current and valid RD ID number is eligible to be nominated under this contest.
Officers, directors, employees, or shareholders (or immediate family members of such) of Sponsor or National Grape Cooperative Association are not eligible to participate as either a Nominator or Nominee.
Upon request, Nominators and Nominees (together, “Participants”) agree to provide evidence of eligibility to Sponsor. Participants who fail to meet these eligibility requirements, submit inaccurate information to Sponsor, or fail to abide by these Official Rules will be disqualified at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion.
Judging
After the Entry Period closes, nominations will be judged by Welch’s Health and Nutrition Advisory Panel (“Judges”). Judges will select 3 winning Nominees based on the following criteria:
Family Nutrition Commitment
Activities must be grounded in family nutrition – such as educating about the importance of family mealtimes, writing unique recipes for parents to make with their children, and developing mealtime tips, articles and other resources.
Innovation
Efforts should illustrate creativity and innovation that speaks to the RD’s commitment in family-focused nutrition education and outreach – such as new techniques or tools to effectively reach clients and/or employing new channels or partners to extend his/her communications efforts to reach a wider audience.
Significant Impact
Entries must demonstrate a significant impact – for example, because the work has reached a widespread audience and/or because the efforts have had a strong effect on a family by improving their nutrition in a significant way.
Judges’ decisions are final, binding, and are not subject to challenge or appeal. Prior to judging, nominations may be screened by Sponsor and/or its agents.
Prizes
The winning Nominees will each win a cash prize of $500. A maximum of 3 winners will be selected. Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than 3 winners if insufficient qualified nominations are received. Winners must sign and return certain documents including affidavits and/or publicity releases before receiving a prize. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify anyone who fails to timely return such documents, and to select alternate winner(s) in their place. In the event any eligible Participant selected to receive a prize is deemed a minor under the laws of his/her state of residence, any required documents must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
As a condition of receiving a prize, winning Nominees must timely submit a Family Mealtime Moment Tip in accordance with character limits and other instructions provided by Sponsor. Each Family Mealtime Moment Tip will be attributed to the winner and featured on Welchs.com and in other digital or offline promotional material.
Notification
Beginning March 7, 2013, winning Nominators and their Nominees will be notified of their selections by e-mail.
Publicity
On or about March 13, 2013, winners may be profiled on one or more of the following websites. Sponsor reserves the absolute right and discretion to decide when, where and how to publicize any winner, if at all. No guarantee is made that any person will be profiled or publicized, or as to the form or content of any publicity.

Warranties and Representations
Each Participant warrants and represents that he/she has read and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules; that he/she meets the eligibility requirements stated herein; that all of the information provided to Sponsor through a nomination form or any other method is accurate and does not violate any third party’s legal rights (including, without limitation, right of privacy), and does not violate any other law; consents to Sponsor’s use of his/her name and/or likeness and any information provided hereunder for promotional purposes, whether in print, online or in any other media now known or hereafter developed, without further notice or additional compensation and unless prohibited by applicable law; agrees to be solely responsible for any and all tax consequences as a result of accepting and receiving a prize.
No Liability
Each Participant agrees that Sponsor, National Grape Cooperative Association, and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, and other authorized representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for, and shall not be liable for nominations or any other contest documentation or communications which are late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible or unintelligible (as applicable); telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer damage, malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind; failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions; any condition caused by events beyond their control, including without limitation technical malfunctions of telephone networks or lines, servers, networks, or computer systems, human error, defective computer equipment, or traffic congestion on the Internet, that may disrupt or corrupt access or communication to/from the contest Site; any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind whatsoever resulting from, or related in any manner to, participation in the contest; or any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the contest; that the Released Parties have no obligation to advise Participants that they make incomplete or otherwise noncompliant submissions; to release and hold harmless each of the Released Parties from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind, resulting from, or related in any manner to, the contest, including without limitation personal injury, death, property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, and invasion of privacy.
